SUMMARY
The QSS Technical Administrator will be working in the Quality, Service and Support Department, (QSS), a manufacturing environment that is fast-paced and challenging. The position involves hands-on Electronics Technician disciplines as well as Administrative and Customer Service duties. The individual in this position must have a good eye for detail, good technical/troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication skills. A flexible schedule is required as periodic demands require overtime, (including some weekends).Produces manufacturing equipment which includes welders, solder reflow systems, laser welders, laser markers and complete automated welding systems.

•In-process and final inspection of electronic, optical, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies.
•Calibration of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
•Repair of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
•Soldering/de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components at a high level of quality, (preferred).
•Customer support via phone and E-mail.
•RMA processing.
•Quote processing.
•PO and shipment processing.
•Other projects and tasks as assigned by the Company from time to time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•Must have 5-7 years of related experience and at least a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or Associate Degree in Electronics.
•Must be able to work overtime.
•Proficiency with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, signal generators and counters.
•Must be proficient in the safe handling of high-power/high-current electronics. Some of our equipment operates on 650 Volts with primary currents as high as 4000 Amps.
•Must possess a strong working knowledge of analog/digital electronics, and testing and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
•A can-do attitude, excellent analytical skills including attention to detail and follow through, and the ability to research and solve problems.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
•Proficiency with JDE ERP a big plus.
•Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
•Ability to occasionally work extended hours.
•Good dexterity and skill in use of hand tools
•Punctual and dependable attendance.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
•Excellent verbal skills for phone support.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists in English.
•Must have excellent communication skills and ability to read and follow instructions written in English.
