Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on fetal development. You will work closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning while ensuring the comfort, dignity, and safety of our patients throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations focused on obstetric imaging, including transabdominal, transvaginal, and fetal studies.
  • Assess the quality and completeness of images and make adjustments as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Collaborate with OBGYN providers to provide real-time sonographic findings that support clinical decision-making.
  • Document sonographic results clearly and accurately in the patient's medical record and prepare preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
  • Monitor and document fetal development, anatomy, and well-being throughout various stages of pregnancy, identifying potential abnormalities.
  • Explain procedures to patients in a compassionate, professional manner and ensure patient comfort and privacy during exams.
  • Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in invasive procedures such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling by providing ultrasound guidance when needed.
  • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe and compliant imaging environment.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with technological advances and best practices in OBGYN sonography.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: None required.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
