Position : Utility Locator
Location : Harmony, MN
Salary : $20-$27 per hour based on experience

Summary : We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and marking underground utilities—including fiber optic lines, electric, gas, and water—prior to excavation and construction work. This position gets an opportunity to be the face of the company in the community. 

What does winning look like at Miners?

• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment.
• Read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and site plans.
• Complete detailed reports and daily logs for each locate ticket.
• Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and property owners.
• Follow proper safety protocols and comply with Minnesota’s Gopher State One Call regulations.
• Work independently in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Required Skills:

• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or a related field
• Proficiency with locating tools and technology
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand or walk for long periods, and navigate uneven terrain.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in utility locating/construction
• An “I will attack this problem” mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to meet physical demands
• English/Spanish (preferred)
