Pay: $85,000/yr - $110,000/yr 1st Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution is required, along with 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance, including at least 1 year in low-income housing or a closely related area. A Certified Public Accountant designation is desired, and candidates must obtain Fair Housing and Reasonable Accommodation Certifications within one year of employment or as specified by the Chief Executive Officer. • Develop and recommend accounting strategies and departmental policies while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines in accounts payable, procurement, inventory, capital funds, and payroll.
• Oversee financial operations, preparing reconciliation reports and managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant accounting, and payroll processes.
• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary activities to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance of accounting, financial, and budgetary systems with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles while implementing robust internal controls.
• Manage Capital Fund controls to prevent fund recapture.
• Produce various financial reports and statements, keeping the Executive Officer and relevant stakeholders informed of the agency's financial condition.
