Job Description

A fast-growing start-up in downtown San Diego is hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to work directly with the CFO. The ideal candidate has at least five years of corporate accounting experience, along with a strong background in financial analysis. This is a hands-on role suited for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The company is offering a salary range of $90k-$110k, depending on experience, and is open to contract or direct-hire. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements related to entities
• Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis and Reporting
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
• Manage reserve accounting processes
• Support month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Compile and deliver management reports
• Assist with data imports/exports and general ledger accuracy
• Other finance and accounting duties as assigned by CFO/Controller

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus (just converted from QuickBooks)
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
