Unite America seeks a full-time Prospect Research Manager to join our Investor Relations team, supporting a first-of-its-kind, cross-partisan philanthropic community that aims to mobilize resources to scale the democracy reform movement. Strategy & Operations is the backbone that keeps the Investor Relations team organized and effective. The Manager will support daily operations for the IR team and manage the entire prospect pipeline—from lead sourcing, research, and qualification to maintaining the donor meeting calendar and preparing briefing materials for fundraisers. The goal is to ensure the pipeline is always full to help UA surpass its fundraising targets. The ideal candidate will be a highly adaptable team player, analytical, and capable of executing a variety of tasks with support from team members and leadership. Additionally, the candidate should be organized, communicative, poised, and experienced in fast-paced, demanding environments. Responsibilities This role reports to the Senior Director of IR Strategy & Analytics and includes: Managing UA’s Prospect Pipeline: monitoring, updating, qualifying, and curating prospects to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads for fundraising. Supporting fundraisers by managing their portfolios, responding to research requests, preparing briefings, and collaborating on prospect lists. Leading UA’s Prospect Research: Proactively creating and maintaining research profiles and briefing materials for prospects before meetings. Evaluating prospects’ capacity, interests, and relationships to identify new opportunities and deepen existing donor relationships. Moves Management Coordination: Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, note-taking, follow-up, grant management, and invoice tracking. Supporting data entry into Salesforce, especially for the Head of Department. Data Management: Developing systems for storing research data, creating reports and dashboards in Salesforce, such as prospects by city, for internal use. Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitating communication and project alignment across teams including fundraising, events, marketing, and strategy to improve overall efficiency. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: At least 3+ years of relevant experience, including in sales or fundraising operations, prospect research, or related fields. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to manage the prospect pipeline and assess donor affinity for UA’s mission. Project management skills with attention to detail, including planning, goal setting, and problem-solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting professional documents and briefing materials. Exceptional organization and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. High professional discretion when working with high-profile individuals. Passion for democracy and election reform, with a genuine curiosity about the issues. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and working across differences; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
