Job Description
Region Sports Network is seeking an experienced and visionary Program Director to lead the development and management of our on-air and digital content. This individual will represent the network in the business community, spearheading initiatives that promote our brand and engage our audience across various media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, production, and execution of all on-air and digital content for Region Sports Network.
Develop and implement content strategies that align with network goals and audience preferences.
Supervise and mentor a team of producers, reporters, and on-air talent to ensure high-quality content and professional growth.
Manage the program schedule, ensuring a diverse and engaging mix of sports coverage, analysis, and commentary.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and promote on-air and digital programming, driving audience engagement and growth.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and audience preferences to keep the network competitive and innovative.
Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for the content production department.
Maintain strong relationships with business partners, sponsors, and other industry stakeholders.
Represent Region Sports Network at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Develop and maintain network standards for content quality, ethics, and compliance with regulations.
Analyze audience feedback and ratings data to optimize programming and improve viewer satisfaction.
Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts for on-air talent and production staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications, journalism, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the sports broadcasting industry.
Proven track record of developing successful sports programming and content strategies.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with a focus on team development and motivation.
Strong understanding of audience preferences and industry trends in sports media.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using broadcast equipment and production software.
Familiarity with digital media platforms and strategies.
Experience managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
