Security and fire alarm systems enable a safer world, saving people’s lives and protecting their homes, their livelihoods, and their property every single day. Our mission is to create a safer world through professional monitoring. When seconds matter, our members are there.
With a 75-year history as a respected leader in education, advocacy and standards development The Monitoring Association (TMA) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead us through this exciting chapter of technological transformation.
Our member companies provide critical monitoring of security and fire, health and life safety systems for tens of millions of commercial, residential, industrial, and governmental clients across the country.
The growth of the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) —a service TMA developed with public safety professionals to digitally transmit alarms to 911 centers ensuring police, fire and EMS arrives on scene 2 minutes faster—is another example of how TMA is leading the way in enhancing the value of professionally monitored alarm systems.
TMA is a financially stable organization with a committed staff and a highly expert, engaged volunteer community. As CEO, you will build on this foundation and lead the association into the next era, increasing relevance to members and the public safety community amid rapid technological change. You will work closely with the Board and lead a team of 8 to connect TMA’s programs, events, advocacy, and operations around a clear goal: delivering practical, high-impact value to members.
In this role, you will expand and diversify membership segments, develop targeted programs and resources to drive engagement and retention, and ensure that TMA’s events remain essential platforms for members to network and do business together. Externally, you’ll represent the association in public safety, industry, and policy forums, building relationships with stakeholders (including sector leaders, regulatory and legislative bodies, and standards organizations) to promote the growth of the professional monitoring industry.
