Job Title: Phlebotomist I (Patient Service Representative)
Location: Scottsburg, IN
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15am-5:00pm; Tuesday 8:15-2:00pm
Pay Rate Starting at: $24.00 / Hourly
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) who serves as the face of our organization, providing exceptional service to patients visiting for routine health checks or critical diagnostic needs.
The PSR I is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment. This role requires a balance of strong technical skills and a compassionate, customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which include weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Minimum of 6 months experience.
1 (+) years phlebotomy experience preferred and customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
