At Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale East/Lauderdale-By-The-Sea , we are seeking an energetic individual to join our guest services team as a Night Auditor .

Overview

The Night Auditor will serve as an ambassador at the hotel, handling check-ins, check-outs, answering calls, and maintaining guest service standards. Responsibilities also include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data to keep records complete, verifying figures, and ensuring accuracy of business transactions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, room types, rates, and daily operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash and bank security.
• Record information in log books and process payments and adjustments.
• Operate and secure the Property Management System (PMS).
• Verify and correct reports, reconcile accounts, and audit charges.
• Input sales data, run reports, and ensure system backups.
• Close checks, run end-of-day processes, and verify system interfaces.
• Prepare and distribute reports, checklists, and logs.
• Restock printers, deposit payments, and communicate with supervisors.
• Attend meetings and training as required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant hotel experience.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
