Where is the work: This position has been designated as On-Site working out of our Trane La Crosse Lab 5-days per week.

Job Summary: \n \n \n

Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an onsite position in our Engineering Test Laboratory (Lab) in La Crosse, Wisconsin as an Instrumentation/ MetrologyTechnician II. This position provides technical support to advance measurement capability and data quality, for the NA Commercial HVAC Laboratories. As part of the Laboratory Instrument and Metrology Services (IMS) Team, you will work closely with all other Lab Teams to fully comply with all UL and ISO regulatory agencies. The job requires problem solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other lab and engineering team members to ensure timely completion of projects. This position is salaried non-exempt.

  • Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • \n
  • Install, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation
  • \n
  • Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate devices in the electrical, electronic, dimensional, physical, mechanical, and/or environmental disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy
  • \n
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement procedures and technical manuals
  • \n
  • Provide technical assistance on instrumentation related issues to customers and team members
  • \n
  • Work closely with customers to coordinate and execute periodic maintenance and calibration
  • \n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Associate's Degree in HVAC, Electromechanical, Electronics or related discipline from an accredited school and at least 5+ years work experience in related field is required.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • \n
  • A working knowledge of measurement and control equipment (electrical, electronic, and pneumatic), data acquisition, and communications
  • \n
  • Experience with ISO 17025 & ANSI/NCLS Z540 preferred 
  • \n
