Manages and schedules duties of Front End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Customer Service Clerks, Head Clerks, Bookkeepers and all other Front End Management. Oversees the completion of daily cash, balancing, reconciliation and payroll reports, while supporting store sales and overall operating plan. Duties and Responsibilities: Champions company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals. Handles customer relations positively, including effective resolution of complaints. Promotes the company's philosophy of personalized service. Provides fast, friendly, courteous customer service, handles customer relations, performs checking duties, and supervises cash registers when necessary. Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. Serves as overflow cashier as needed. Directs and supervises front end activities including monitoring customer traffic and service levels, coordinating and implementing front end and service programs, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the front end area, and monitoring inventories and ordering supplies and merchandise. Handles cash flow and controls, including safe transactions, issues and pickups, cash register tills, check approvals, rain checks, refunds, and monitoring cash handling procedures. Manages emergencies like scan system failures and pricing errors. Assists with hiring, training, and supervising front end staff, and makes recommendations on employment status and discipline. Responsible for achieving budget goals for labor, cash variation, check expenses, and supplies. Ensures cost and quality control, and maintains safety standards for customers and employees. Enforces dress and grooming standards for all employees. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures in the front end. Performs all duties safely, accurately, honestly, and with integrity. Performs other duties as directed or required.
