Job Description: Provides Athletic Training services to patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric in a surgical orthopedics clinical environment, including evaluation and assessment, education, treatment and consultation services and related patient care services under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon. Education Qualifications: Required Education: • Athletic training program graduate Preferred Experience: • Prior surgical practice experience Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Required Certificates and Licensures: • CAATE accredited athletic training program graduate with successful completion of BOC certification examination. • Registered by Board of Medical Practice per state guidelines* • Certification in BLS/CPR * New graduates of Athletic Training program may begin orientation, but they may not perform athletic trainer duties until state licensure is active. For new graduates, state licensure application must be submitted prior to start date and will be required within 90 days of hire. A strike is in progress at the location where this job is performed.
