We are hiring an Administrative Assistant (Onsite) in Columbia, Missouri 65201 for a 6-month contract at $16/hour , with the potential to become permanent based on performance, attendance, and business needs. This opportunity is ideal for a college student or entry-level candidate who is a quick learner, tech-savvy, and ready to take on a variety of office responsibilities. You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations through administrative tasks, phone handling, and Microsoft Office work in a professional, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, data entry, filing, and document handling
• Prepare and edit documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Greet visitors and manage front desk responsibilities with professionalism
• Assist with scheduling, calendar updates, and internal communication
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

Qualifications

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch (flexibility allowed for pre-planned engagements)
• Quick learner with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
• No degree required, but preference given to college students or individuals with prior administrative experience
